And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. Acts 2:42
A Simple and Biblical
Church Model

Why House Church?
We choose the house church model because we believe it’s a simple, biblical, and highly reproducible way to keep disciple-making at the center. In the New Testament, believers often gathered in homes for Scripture, prayer, fellowship, and mission—life-on-life in a way that helps people grow and makes it easier to multiply without heavy barriers. We are grateful for the many faithful expressions of the church, and we simply see house churches as a practical structure for developing Spirit-filled disciples who obey Jesus, care for one another, and train others to do the same—locally and to the ends of the earth.

Vision & Mission
Our Vision
“We envision devoted disciples who love God and others, forming multiplying house churches that carry the gospel to the ends of the earth.”
Our Mission
Our mission is to glorify God by making Spirit-filled disciples of Jesus who obey His Word and train others to do the same—resulting in healthy, reproducing churches.”
What We Believe
We believe the Bible is God’s Word, Jesus Christ is Lord, salvation is by grace through faith, every believer is empowered by the Holy Spirit, and the Church exists to make disciples until Christ returns.

Dessert Church? Nope.
Church 242 meets on Sundays at 5:00 PM.
If Sunday morning is your spiritual meal at another church, we’d rather not be your dessert. We want to honor your primary church commitment and encourage you to keep investing there.

No Spectators
“Every believer is equipped for the work of ministry.” Ephesians 4:12
1 peter 2:9
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Sacred People
We as the church are made up of believers in Jesus Christ, and Scripture gives us wonderful names: a royal priesthood, a holy nation, the bride of Christ, and the body of Christ. These names are not just titles—they give us purpose. At 242, that purpose looks like carrying the hope of Jesus into the places we already live—our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, and schools. We gather to worship and be strengthened, but we believe God’s primary plan is for His people to share the gospel personally in everyday life. So we train and encourage one another to notice people, love well, speak of Christ with courage and kindness, and invite others to follow Jesus—not simply to come to church.
